I was using my windows machine. I was on here as a matter of fact. All of a
sudden some alert came up this resident shield alert thing. Then it froze, and I
tried to start it up again. I used the KNFB reader to see what is on the screen,
and there is some kind of prompt or something. I think the hard drive died.
Those things are so hard to figure out when you can't see what the screen says. Good luck with it though. I had a hard drive die once. Not fun.
Yikes. never have had that happen before. good thing you have a mac to help
you and back you up.
Yeah, that happened to my first windows machine, the hard drive died, and I
was not as worried because I wasn't using it for school. But the hard drive is
fine, it was performing some kind of memory test.
I'll bet the hard drives not gone.
Tell use when you get it fixed what was actually wrong.
If it was doing that check there was a reason.
I wonder if you got a virous.
Also, how old is the machine?
My windows 8 machine was so slow that a microsoft technician told me I should reinstall Windows and erase all the files so I did and now I don't have Microsoft Word or an#thing anymore, and I don't have a Mac to back me up.
Not a problem to get them back.
If they were installed by the company that you got the system from, and you had the licenses for them, not the 30 day trial, contact them and they'll give you the key.
It is just a download.
If you didn't buy it from them, contact who you did, and the same applies.
Oh man. Well, my external harddrive died. For some unknown reason, it won't show up when it's plugged into the computer. Maybe I should reinstate my dropbox for this very reason.
